FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Do you have questions about Homestead Marketplace? Below we’ve created a list of questions and answers pertaining to Homestead Adventure Park; we’re hoping this is a good start while you plan your visit. For any unanswered questions, please click on the Contact button and send us an email. We’ll be happy to help. 

General

Reservation are not required, but we do highly recommend that you book online beforehand to make sure the course is not at it’s capacity during the date and time you would like to visit. This also helps ensure your group is able to play at the same time.

If you do not want to reserve a spot beforehand, feel free to come anytime we’re open and our staff will place you in the next available time slot. Feel free to grab a snack at BeaverTails while you wait, or tour the Homestead Marketplace property.

Ensure to familiarize yourself with the Rules and Procedures prior to your visit to guarantee compliance with our dress code, specifically the requirement for closed-toe footwear if you would like to go on the high ropes course, and to confirm that you have completed the necessary waiver.

Yes, Homestead Adventure Park has plenty of free parking on-site for visitors.

A waiver is required to be completed prior to your FIRST visit in order to start your adventure on the high ropes or mini putt courses. 

All participants under the age of 18 will require the completion of a waiver by a parent or a legal guardian

You are not required to fill out the waiver every time you visit. Once your account is set up your waiver is saved for future reference. 

Mini Putt and Remote Control Boats: The Adventure Park is outdoors, so dress for the weather. There’s limited cover on rainy days and little shade on hot summer days. Wear sun protection like sunglasses and a hat for direct sunlight. Choose comfortable clothes for easy movement. Skip high heels or dressy shoes, as they make navigating the course difficult.

High Ropes: Closed-toed shoes are required; no flip flops, heels, or open-toed sandals. We’re open rain or shine, so dress in layers for the weather. Since you’ll wear a harness, choose comfortable clothes that fit well under it. We recommend that you ensure your clothing covers any part in contact with the harness, like leg loops and waist belt. 

Kindly be aware that we accept payments only via credit cards, Visa debit card, Mastercard debit card, and cash. 

There is an ATM located at the gas station on the corner of Douglas Road and Glen Miller Road should you need to withdraw cash.

Homestead Adventure Park will remain open rain or shine. We monitor for high winds, heavy rain, and lightning, and will close the park as necessary to keep our guests and staff safe. If there are high winds, we may have to temporarily close the high ropes course. 

If Homestead Adventure Park is required to close, you will be notified by email and our team will make every effort to notify you prior to your scheduled activity. If the forecast is uncertain, and you have not heard from our team, please check our Facebook page, where we will post updates regarding closures.

Guests actively engaged in activities at time of closure:

We will either extend your time or issue you a digital gift card for the full amount of your ticket purchase. The digital gift card will be emailed to you for your future use.

Guests who have not yet arrived:

A digital gift card for the full amount of your purchase will be emailed to you for your future use. You can apply your gift card code in the online checkout process towards a new reservation anytime. 

All ticket purchases are non-refundable. We know sometimes plans have to change, and It’s important to us that you still have the option to enjoy a fun-filled day with friends and family. 

You can change, reschedule or cancel your activity up to 48 hours prior to your original activity date. If you cancel your activity, a digital gift card for the full value of your activity will be sent to the email address you provided at the original time of purchase. Activities cannot be changed, rescheduled or canceled within 48 hours of your activity date and you will be subject to the full ticket price. 

In fairness to all guests, participants with reserved bookings who fail to show for their reserved booking time and provide no prior notice of cancellation are liable for the entire booking cost. The No-Show Policy is applicable to all participants, including individual participants within a group booking.

* No-shows are not eligible for monetary refund, credit, gift certificate, rescheduling of the event, or any other reimbursement. The entire booking cost will be forfeited.

Outside food and drinks are not permitted within the park. We offer food, pastries, ice cream and refreshments at the park from our BeaverTails restaurant. 

Smoking is only permitted in the designated areas.

Absolutely! Not taking part in the adventure? Relax in our Adirondack seating on the ground floor observation deck with full views of the park.

Mini Putt and Remote Control Boats: Absolutely!

High Ropes: All personal items, such as cameras, selfie sticks, GoPros, and similar gadgets, must be securely stowed away. Items that are not secured, including flip flops (close toed footwear rule), pose a heightened risk of falling and potentially injuring individuals playing mini putt beneath the high ropes course.

For groups of more than 10 people, please fill out the reservation form below and our team will contact you.

Please note, group reservations need to be submitted at least two weeks prior to the event date to ensure space availability.

High Ropes

  • Closed-toe and closed-heel shoes are REQUIRED for all participants. Crocs, sandals, and flip-flops are not acceptable for the high ropes course.
  • Jewellery (such as necklaces) should be removed.
  • Long hair must be tied back.
  • Loose items should be removed.
  • Pockets are to be emptied to reduce the likelihood of things falling on to other park visitors and spectators below.
  • We’re open rain or shine, so dress in layers for the weather.
  • Since you’ll wear a harness, choose comfortable clothes that fit well under it. We recommend that you ensure your clothing covers any part in contact with the harness, like leg loops and waist belt. 

The course is designed for a wide range of physical abilities from very easy to more difficult. The high ropes course takes approximately 30 minutes to 45 minutes to complete, depending on your physical abilities and the other participants on the course.

Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied on the course by an adult.

Children aged 13 and older can climb by themselves.

We maintain the highest standards of safety and provide all staff and participants with the necessary safety equipment to use while on the course, including helmets and safety harnesses.

Our fully-trained guides are stationed throughout the course to assist you if you need help.

We have daily, monthly and annual inspections to ensure our equipment, gear, and courses are kept at the highest safety rating.

Participants must stand between 3 feet 6 inches and 6 feet 6 inches tall. Additionally, they must weigh no less than 50 pounds and no more than 275 pounds. Please note: despite the above requirements, only participants who properly fit in the available harnesses and helmets may participate.

Mini Golf

Comfortable clothing and footwear should be worn on the mini putt course. No bare feet allowed. Skip high heels or dressy shoes, as they make navigating the course difficult. There’s limited cover on rainy days and little shade on hot summer days. Wear sun protection like sunglasses and a hat for direct sunlight.

If you plan on taking part in the high ropes course during your visit, the following attire is required.

Remote Control Boats

No, reservations are not required in order to use the remote control boats, but please note they are on a first come, first served basis.

Be the Captain of your own ship! Visit our ticket booth on-site to purchase tokens for our remote control boat pond.
